Salary: $100,000 - $128,000 a year

What you will do

• Analyze and resolve data integrity challenges and production support issues via root cause analysis and code investigation.
• Design and implement scalable, performant, and secure backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and AWS.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and present developed features.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Mentor other engineers through Communities of Practice and project-based guidance.
• Drive project delivery from conceptualization to deployment within defined architectures.

Requirements

• Expertise in Node.js and AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS).
• Experience with Agile software development and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Proficiency in high-level design (UML, C4, ArchiMate) and SOLID principles.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis by querying data stores and investigating code.
• Must be based in Canada.
• Proficiency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with modern frontend build tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of architectural patterns (Microservices, Serverless) and design patterns (Factory, Singleton, Observer).
• Experience with Unit Testing and ORMs.
