Software Engineer (Hypervisor, Virtualization)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Hypervisor, Virtualization): Contribute to the development of an enterprise-grade hypervisor (AHV) with an accent on Virtual Machine Lifecycle Management and distributed services. Focus on designing and implementing scalable AHV security features, improving reliability/performance/security, and working with OS internals at the Linux kernel level.

Location: Hybrid (office 3 days/week)

Salary: USD $156,000–$310,800 per year

What you will do

• Contribute to the development of hirify.global Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV).
• Design and develop new AHV security features.
• Maintain and fix issues in AHV security features.
• Improve AHV reliability, performance, and security.
• Interact with open source communities.
• Lead feature development from concept to market.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in C and Python.
• Extensive knowledge of OS internals, particularly UNIX/Linux.
• Experience developing software for Unix/Linux/BSD operating systems at the kernel level.
• Familiarity with x86 architecture, virtualization, storage, and network management.
• Strong debugging skills in Linux kernel mode.
• Device driver development experience in Unix/Linux/BSD environments.

Nice to have

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
