What you will do

• Develop novel operating system techniques and algorithms for managing virtual and real computer hardware.
• Implement kernel-level CPU scheduling resource management features with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Architect and deliver new products based on the enterprise-class VCF virtualization platform.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support new hardware technologies.
• Own and lead specific CPU Scheduling projects as experience grows.

Requirements

• BS in CS or related field with 12+ years experience (or MS + 10 years / PhD + 7 years).
• Deep understanding of kernel-level CPU and NUMA scheduling.
• Expertise in C programming and kernel-level OS architectures (e.g., Linux, Unix, BSD).
• Strong experience with synchronization in preemptive multi-threaded environments.
• Knowledge of Intel x86 CPU and server architecture.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the US.

Nice to have

• Understanding of kernel-level memory management.
• Experience with hypervisors such as ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM, or XEN.
• Experience and understanding of AMD architecture.
