Media Tech Support L3 (Cloud)

TL;DR

Media Tech Support L3 (Cloud): Supporting file-based workflows within the Paramount Media Technology division with an accent on transcoding, cloud compute, and content delivery. Focus on resolving complex technical issues with media encoding, automating processes via API/JSON, and maintaining system reliability in cloud environments.

Location: Remote (LATAM). Must be based in Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, or other LATAM locations

Salary: $25.00 per hour (~$4,000 per month)

What you will do

• Support file-based workflows and respond to technical support requests for Media Technology.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve issues with transcoding, autoQC, and content delivery.
• Maintain and update internal documentation and create runbooks based on Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Manage media encoding and transcoding platforms to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Operate and test software within cloud environments (AWS, Google, or Azure).

Requirements

• Strong understanding of video, audio, and timed text in content supply chains.
• Proficiency with server OS, specifically Linux and Windows Server.
• Experience manipulating audio/video via API, JSON, or command line.
• Knowledge of video containers (MOV, MXF, MP4) and codecs (H264, H265, ProRes).
• Capability to operate and test software in cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Must be based in LATAM (Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, or other LATAM countries).

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Well Architected Frameworks.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, or PowerShell.
• Experience with advanced media technologies like IMF, Dolby Vision, or Dolby Atmos.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in global teams.
