What you will do

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for NoSQL, Streaming, and Caching platforms such as Cassandra, Aerospike, Kafka, and Redis.
• Drive end-to-end automation to enable repeatable and self-service deployment of data services across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Define and enforce SLIs, SLOs, and error margins to improve data platform reliability engineering practices.
• Develop observability solutions and build performant, self-healing systems with automated failover and auto-scaling.
• Lead incident response for critical database and streaming issues and conduct root cause analysis to implement automated fixes.
• Explore and apply AI-driven approaches for anomaly detection and predictive scaling to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development and DBRE experience.
• 3+ years of experience focused on Go and Infrastructure as Code automation.
• Deep expertise in operating large-scale NoSQL, caching, and streaming platforms (Kafka, Redis, MSK, etc.).
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and operating stateful workloads on Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP managed services.
• Must be based in the US or have US work authorization (indicated by 401k and US-specific benefits).

Nice to have

• Prior use of Go for control plane services or SRE-focused tooling.
• Experience leveraging Generative AI to improve infrastructure automation and incident management.
• Certification in relevant technologies, such as AWS Certified Database - Specialty.
