Location: Must be based in Seattle, Washington, United States (Onsite 5 days a week)

Salary: $175,000–$215,000

What you will do

• Design and maintain backend services and data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion and enrichment.
• Own system components end-to-end from requirements and design through to production support.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and advocate for sound engineering tradeoffs.
• Perform code reviews and provide technical mentorship to peers.
• Support production systems including deployments, troubleshooting, and incident response.
• Experiment with and apply AI/LLM tooling to improve development and platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend systems.
• 5+ years of Java development experience including production microservices.
• 4+ years of experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework.
• Strong experience with Kafka or comparable streaming platforms.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).

Nice to have

• Experience with entity resolution, deduplication, or data quality work.
• Familiarity with domain-driven design and service-oriented architecture.
