What you will do

• Deliver impactful full-stack features while setting high engineering standards for the team.
• Partner with product and design leadership to influence roadmap decisions and surface technical tradeoffs.
• Own system-level architectural decisions to ensure platform scalability and long-term health.
• Identify and resolve systemic technical debt to balance velocity with platform stability.
• Mentor engineers and evolve engineering practices, including code review and system design principles.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate workflows and solve complex problems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience with modern JS (Vue, React) and Python/backend development.
• Must be based in the United States due to security and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated track record of leading architectural decisions at the domain level.
• Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency with AI-powered development tools in daily workflows.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a track record of connecting technical investments to business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Expertise in Django or similar frameworks.
• History of defining technical strategy at the domain or team level.
• Experience raising engineering standards through mentorship.
