Full-Stack Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Redwood City, United States; engineering teams work from the Redwood City office three days a week.

Salary: $168,000–$205,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and maintain full-stack features with React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Partner with product and design to create intuitive interfaces and high-quality workflows.
• Create APIs and backend services connecting edge devices, cloud services, and client applications.
• Optimize responsiveness, reliability, and scalability across the technology stack.
• Contribute to architecture decisions involving data storage, caching, service boundaries, partitioning, microservices, and streaming systems.
• Review code, mentor engineers, and work with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field with a programming background.
• 4+ years of experience building scalable and highly available web services.
• Strong experience with an object-oriented programming language and technologies such as Python, Django, and React.
• Expertise in REST or GraphQL APIs, backend design, relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, streaming pipelines, pub-sub systems, and indexing systems.
• Experience designing systems with multiple communicating services and managing service reliability, including cloud operations on AWS or Google Cloud.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and participate in planning, design reviews, and cross-team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar technologies.
• Experience building SaaS products.
