TL;DR

Principal Engineer (PLM): Overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through production and retirement with an accent on data integrity, process efficiency, and cross-functional alignment. Focus on leading enterprise-scale PLM deployments, managing complex change workflows, and driving system integrations within a regulated semiconductor environment.

Location: Must be based in Santa Clara, CA

Salary: $130,030–$194,800 per annum

What you will do

  • Manage Agile PLM processes and lead the implementation of new systems to support QMS requirements.
  • Create and maintain items, documents, bills of materials (BOM), ECOs, and other product-related documentation.
  • Drive cross-functional project initiatives including system integrations, data migration, and process automation.
  • Lead testing for Agile/Oracle Cloud/ERP during development and implementation of new functionalities.
  • Develop training documentation and conduct coaching sessions on document control tools and best practices.
  • Establish and manage PLM metrics dashboards to track ECO status and cycle times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience, or Master’s/PhD with 5+ years of experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in PLM implementation, configuration, or administration.
  • Proven leadership in enterprise-scale PLM deployments (e.g., Agile, Teamcenter, Windchill).
  • Experience working in complex, regulated industries such as semiconductor, medical devices, or aerospace.
  • Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
  • Deep knowledge of change workflows (ECR/ECO), BOM structures, and product configuration rules.
