What you will do

• Troubleshoot technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and execute resolution plans.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including Bills of Materials, change orders, and FMEAs.
• Collaborate with suppliers on DFM/DFA processes and perform detailed tolerance analyses.
• Develop and execute engineering tests using tools like CMM, dial indicators, and accelerometers.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and drafters within a matrix organizational structure.
• Coordinate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Marketing teams to ensure project compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience (or 5 years with a Master's, or 3 years with a PhD).
• Must be based in or have legal authorization to work in the United States (Sponsorship is available for this Principal-level role).
• Strong proficiency in mechanical engineering principles and complex problem-solving.

Nice to have

• 4+ years of experience in medical device engineering or medical capital equipment.
• Proficiency with Solidworks 3D Modeling, PLM, and Agile product lifecycle management.
• Expertise in GD&T (ASTM Y14.5) and motion systems design (motors, gears, linkages).
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements such as FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and IEC 60601.
• Experience with CNC machining, injection molding, and mechatronics.
