Data Engineer II (Python)

What you will do

• Develop scalable, high-performance data pipelines for the Messaging & Rewards area.
• Take end-to-end ownership of data quality and reliability for core datasets.
• Design systems for event logging, cross-channel attribution, and funnel observability.
• Collaborate with ML scientists and product managers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Experiment with new tools to drive innovative engineering solutions for scaling and performance.
• Provide tools to help the analytics community discover data and assess quality company-wide.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Proven proficiency in Python (Java or Scala is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, and DBT.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, storage, and data modeling.
• Experience building and operating production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud or hybrid environments.
