MECM Engineer

TL;DR

MECM Engineer: Supporting the deployment, administration, and maintenance of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager environments for a Federal Government customer with an accent on cloud/hybrid-cloud infrastructure and endpoint compliance. Focus on software deployment, patch management, and system modernization while ensuring adherence to federal security standards.

Location: Remote (US-based, must be able to obtain and maintain federal customer clearance)

What you will do

• Administer and maintain MECM infrastructure, including site systems and cloud-hosted/hybrid deployments.
• Manage software packaging, deployment, and operating system deployment (OSD) task sequences.
• Oversee monthly patching activities and software updates via MECM and WSUS.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot client/server issues, and resolve deployment failures.
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks.
• Support cybersecurity compliance initiatives and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain federal customer clearance.
• 3+ years of experience administering MECM/SCCM in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with cloud-hosted or hybrid MECM environments (Azure/Azure Government).
• Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
• Working knowledge of WSUS and Windows patch management processes.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Co-management, and Cloud Management Gateway (CMG).
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53, FISMA, and federal security requirements.
• Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator or Azure Administrator Associate.
• CompTIA Security+ or ITIL Foundation certification.
