What you will do

• Design and deliver regional sports PR strategies across North America.
• Manage media relations, news flow, and announcements to maximize coverage and brand reputation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and national sports, tech, and business media.
• Collaborate with sports teams, leagues, and internal stakeholders to ensure narrative alignment.
• Represent the company at events and meetings, requiring regular travel.
• Identify and mitigate potential reputational issues through proactive and reactive communication.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Consumer PR, media relations, or consumer journalism.
• Solid knowledge of NBA and NHL sports, as well as the streaming and entertainment industry.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with writers, editors, and media outlets.
• Excellent writing, editing, and media pitching skills.
• Experience managing PR agencies to meet goals and budgets.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work strategically in a fast-paced environment.
