What you will do

• Establish, grow, and lead the Communications team for the West region, setting a strategic 3-year vision.
• Develop the regional media business plan and oversee the associated communications budget.
• Act as the Media Captain for regional events, coordinating the total media plan (PEMO) to drive earned outcomes.
• Identify and pitch "always on" stories featuring athletes and creators to national and local media outlets.
• Manage the network of communication agencies, videographers, and photographers across the region.
• Lead regional crisis communication efforts in coordination with national leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a Senior Communications role for a major brand.
• Must be based in Santa Monica, California, United States.
• Ability to travel 40-50% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or Journalism preferred.
• Proven success in building audience engagement and managing complex creative projects.
• Expert knowledge of the US traditional and digital media industry.
