What you will do

• Design and maintain the platform following engineering standards and guidelines.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code using JVM languages.
• Improve system performance and debugging by implementing observability and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to conduct A/B testing and optimize onboarding funnels.
• Partner with backend and frontend engineers to enhance the end-to-end user activation experience.
• Participate in technical architecture discussions to ensure design choices align with business goals.

Requirements

• Proficiency in JVM languages (Kotlin, Java), Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
• Deep understanding of event-driven distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architectures.
• Experience with SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL databases (Redis).
• Knowledge of security best practices, specifically for KYC, fraud detection, and compliance systems.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and technical communication skills.
• Must be based in the Philippines.
