Contractor role supporting Lending & Savings engineering for Blockchain.com.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Lending & Savings platform services following engineering standards.
• Write high-quality, maintainable backend code and contribute to technical architecture discussions.
• Improve observability and monitoring to enhance reliability, performance, and debugging.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to deliver an end-to-end Lending & Savings experience.
• Work with product and marketing teams, including experiments and A/B testing, while keeping user experience seamless.
• Optimize Lending and Savings funnels and resolve incidents to improve system stability and user outcomes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in JVM languages such as Kotlin and/or Java.
• Experience with Kafka and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of event-driven distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring practices for system reliability and performance.
• Familiarity with security best practices for KYC, fraud detection, and compliance systems.
• Experience with SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL databases such as Redis.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, crypto, or other highly regulated industries.
• Prior work on credit and savings products.
