Data Engineer (Igaming)

TL;DR

Data Engineer (Python/SQL): Building data infrastructure and pipelines for analytics and machine learning with an accent on medallion lakehouse architecture and data modeling. Salary: $105,000 – $140,000

What you will do

• Develop and execute data engineering tasks, including creating data models and writing ingestion scripts.
• Orchestrate data flow through a medallion lakehouse architecture (Landing-Bronze-Silver-Gold).
• Deploy, execute, and monitor data jobs and workflows, responding to failures via established runbooks.
• Author robust Python and SQL code following team conventions and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Analytics, MLE, and Product stakeholders to optimize data delivery and usage.
• Document technical builds, including models and runbooks, and share learnings with the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Python, including experience with data structures and scripting.
• Experience working with cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for writing queries and understanding schemas.
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts like ETL/ELT and data pipelines.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)

Nice to have

• Exposure to GCP, BigQuery, dbt, Spark, Kafka, or Iceberg.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Argo.
• Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CrossPlane).
