What you will do

• Perform advanced failure analysis using electrical, physical, and material characterization techniques.
• Utilize industry-standard tools like SEM, TEM, X-ray, and SAM for fault isolation and data interpretation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance lab efficiency, tool utilization, and cost performance.
• Monitor FA metrics and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and reduce repeat analyses.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training to FA technicians and operators.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve failures and improve overall product yield.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in the semiconductor or electronics industry, specifically in Failure Analysis.
• Hands-on experience with FA tools such as SEM/EDX, TEM, X-ray, and cross-sectioning.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, packaging technologies, and failure mechanisms.
• Proven root cause analysis and problem-solving skills using methodologies like 8D or DMAIC.
• Familiarity with quality systems and standards including ISO, ESD, and EHS compliance.

Nice to have

• Background in manufacturing, quality, assembly engineering, or packaging R&D.
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools like JMP or Minitab.
