Project Engineer – Ground Segment

Location: Gilching, Bavaria, Germany; hybrid working model with installations and commissioning at hirify.global and customer sites in Germany.

What you will do

• Deploy satellite control center software products in internal and customer environments.
• Prepare technical deliverables and installation packages for customer projects.
• Install, configure, and support systems at hirify.global facilities and customer sites.
• Travel as required for on-site deployment and commissioning.
• Work according to security requirements for accreditation on projects with the German Ministry of Defence.

Requirements

• Degree or professional background in Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, Aeronautics, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in the space industry and mission-critical systems, with willingness to learn.
• Basic programming skills for scripting and configuration tasks.
• Practical, methodical, detail-oriented approach and strong operational attention.
• Good communication skills and an analytical mindset.
• Ability to understand and potentially define end-to-end solutions across multiple subsystems.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in operational environments, system validation, or similar roles.
• Knowledge of Spanish.
