Site Director (Aerospace)

Location: Munich, Germany. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship provided.

Developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle capable of orbital refueling and cargo transport.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day test site operations, including reception, utilities, janitorial services, and logistics.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliability of critical utilities.
• Oversee office, lab, and test-area fit-outs, including contractor pre-qualification and risk assessments.
• Manage leases and landlord relationships while coordinating inbound/outbound logistics for dangerous goods.
• Implement the company EHS Management System, emergency preparedness plans, and physical security protocols.
• Own the site OPEX/CAPEX budget, managing vendor SOWs and project stage-gates to deliver on time and budget.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary site or test-site operations in Germany within industrial or aerospace environments.
• Proven experience planning and executing propulsion or high-energy tests and anomaly management.
• Strong knowledge of German EHS and DREAL environmental regulations, particularly for ICPE sites.
• Familiarity with cryogenic and high-pressure fluid systems, instrumentation, and interlock concepts.
• German: Native-level proficiency required.
• English: Professional working proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with budget ownership (OPEX/CAPEX) and vendor negotiation.
• Familiarity with QMS expectations (ISO 9001/9100) and CMMS tools.
• Ability to read and redline site drawings.
