Location: Must be based in or able to commute to New York City or San Francisco (Hybrid: In-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday).

Salary: $208,000–$312,000 (New York base pay range).

What you will do

• Design and ship core Eve framework features including file-system conventions, compiler, and runtime.
• Build and maintain integrations across channel and connection layers like Slack, WhatsApp, and Vercel Connect.
• Collaborate with AI SDK, Workflows, and Sandbox teams to ensure seamless platform composition.
• Drive developer experience through CLI ergonomics, documentation, and clear error messaging.
• Contribute to observability and evaluation tools including test suites and scoring rubrics.
• Partner with early customers to diagnose reliability issues and iterate on the framework.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production TypeScript/JavaScript experience.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts such as durable execution and async workflows.
• Experience building or operating developer tooling, frameworks, or SDKs.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs and agent orchestration patterns.
• Track record of shipping high-quality open-source or customer-facing APIs.
• Must be able to work onsite in New York City or San Francisco.
