AI Enablement Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

AI Enablement Engineer (AI Governance): Leading the definition and implementation of AI-first governance, guardrails, and controls for the software development lifecycle with an accent on safe and scalable adoption of AI-assisted development tools. Focus on building an AI-enabled SDLC playbook, managing GitHub Enterprise migration, and establishing repository access controls for agentic tools.

Location: Hybrid (London, UK). Must be based in the UK and work 2 days per week in the London office.

What you will do

• Define and implement engineering standards and guardrails to scale AI safely across coding, testing, documentation, and DevOps.
• Lead the adoption and control of AI tools including GitHub Copilot, AWS Q Developer, AWS Transform, Kiro, and CodeScene ACE.
• Establish engineering-specific controls for repository access, secure coding checks, and human review evidence.
• Manage the GitHub Enterprise migration governance roadmap with a target completion by the end of 2026.
• Develop an AI-enabled SDLC playbook and a traceability checklist for AI-generated outputs.
• Track and escalate AI engineering risks, exceptions, and technical debt.

Requirements

• Proven experience defining AI SDLC guardrails, including MCP server allow-listing and audit evidence.
• Strong hands-on experience with the GitHub ecosystem (Enterprise, Actions, and Git workflows).
• Familiarity with agentic development tools like GitHub Copilot, AWS Q Developer, or AWS Transform.
• Track record of establishing engineering governance and controls across delivery teams.
• Confidence in driving adoption and engaging with engineering communities of practice.
