What you will do
- Conceive, design, develop, and test firmware solutions for advanced data storage products.
- Collaborate with firmware and hardware design teams to implement features for leading-edge storage concepts.
- Analyze complex events and unique issues to determine appropriate evaluation criteria and results.
- Take responsibility for the analysis, programming, debugging, and modification of IC embedded code applications.
- Apply best practice software development methods to ensure high-quality and high-performance firmware.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in CS, EE, or CE (5+ years exp), Master's (3+ years), or PhD.
- Proficiency in C/C++ language programming.
- Strong knowledge of Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience using code development tools and performing root cause analysis for software defects.
- Must be able to work onsite at the Shakopee, MN campus.
Nice to have
- Experience with Hard Disc Drives (HDD) or Solid State Drives (SSD).
- Knowledge of data storage systems.
- Skills in software performance analysis and optimization.
- Experience using Oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers.
- Assembly language programming experience.
