What you will do

• Perform deep-level Sybase database administration, including tuning, backups, recovery, and security.
• Manage Red Hat Linux administration, including patching, performance monitoring, and shell scripting.
• Decompose current RSupply UI business logic to support its migration to an N-tier web service.
• Run and interpret ADHOC queries to analyze NWCF and End Use funding transactions.
• Develop and update test cases and plans for backend developmental testing and augment the IV&V testing team.
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to explain complex schemas and system architecture.

Requirements

• US Citizenship and current SECRET Clearance are required.
• 10+ years of experience in U.S. Naval Supply activities.
• At least 6 years of experience specifically working in NTCSS Relational Supply.
• In-depth knowledge of Naval supply policies (e.g., OPNAV 4441.12E, NAVSUPSYSCOM P-485).
• Expertise in RSupply functions and its interfaces with NALCOMIS, OMMS-NG, MFOM, and NMRO.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools.

Nice to have

• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+, CASP, CISSP) or ability to obtain it within 6 months.
• Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database management systems.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to document detailed functional test cases.
