What you will do
- Review technical documentation, installation plans, and databases to produce status, evaluation, and assessment reports for hardware/software installation issues on surface ships and submarines.
- Prepare and refine afloat, shore, and submarine installation policies, processes, standards, and training documentation.
- Define installation process execution requirements and develop software specifications to support modernization tool development and integration.
- Apply and interpret Navy installation regulations and policies to ensure compliance for Programs of Record (POR) and non-POR systems.
- Use enterprise planning/execution tools (e.g., SPIDER/RIPTIDE and NDE) to track approved funding and schedules, and coordinate PICO activities ahead of shipboard installation.
- Manage installation and production changes by coordinating APM-I support, tracking estimated installation costs, and preparing installation documentation (JCFs, SIDs, SCDs) while analyzing ECPs and work scopes.
Requirements
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
- 10 years of professional experience directly supporting installation of hardware and software products, preferably within DoD/Department of the Navy.
- Active DoD Secret clearance required to start; TS/SCI clearance preferred.
- Experience supporting installation management for complex systems integration across naval platforms.
- Ability to interpret and apply Navy installation handbooks, NAVSEA technical specifications, OPNAV instructions, and the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual.
