Lead AI Architect (Federal): Providing technical expertise for the installation, configuration, and integration of AI platforms within federal government environments with an accent on security compliance, FedRAMP authorization, and secure infrastructure management. Focus on navigating complex ATO lifecycles, managing air-gapped Kubernetes environments, and ensuring platform integrity in classified settings.

Location: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active US Secret security clearance. Role is remote with up to 50% on-site requirement in the DC area and 20% regional travel.

What you will do

• Lead professional services efforts to plan and execute successful platform installations, upgrades, and security accreditations.
• Deploy and operate solutions within FedRAMP Authorized, IL5, and IL6 classified environments.
• Serve as a liaison between Product, Engineering, and Federal business units to inform product evolution based on federal requirements.
• Provide consultative assistance on architecture and implementation to federal IT teams.
• Manage CVE remediation and patch responses to ensure continuous operational continuity.
• Support pre-sales activities including architectural overviews and security reviews.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance (TS/SCI highly preferred).
• 7+ years in Federal engineering with 3+ years supporting IL5/IL6+ environments.
• Proven track record navigating the full ATO lifecycle, RMF processes, and Continuous Monitoring.
• Deep production expertise with Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, or OpenShift) in air-gapped or disconnected environments.
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and Linux hardening (STIG/CIS).
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines on K8s.

Nice to have

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA/CKAD).
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
