TL;DR
Quality Engineer (SDET) (IoT): Supporting the quality, performance, and reliability of web and mobile applications with an accent on manual testing and test automation. Location: Tysons, Virginia. Must be based in the US; sponsorship of employment authorization is not available.

What you will do
- Execute manual test cases, document defects, and track issues through resolution.
- Develop and maintain automated UI and API tests with guidance from senior members.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Software Engineers to define acceptance criteria.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing to support releases.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.
- Explore and implement AI-assisted testing tools to improve coverage and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–1 years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or relevant academic projects.
- Basic programming or scripting experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Foundational understanding of UI/API automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Postman.
- Basic familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Employment authorization: No sponsorship available for this position.
Nice to have
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or data validation concepts.
- Interest in CI/CD pipelines and AI-driven testing tools.
