Senior Member Of Technical Staff (Thin Films Engineer)

Location: Must be based in the US (Hillsboro, OR or Phoenix, AZ) with a hybrid work model.

Salary: $155,520–$298,440 USD

What you will do

• Lead thin film process excellence across CVD, ALD, PVD, epitaxy, and thermal/plasma deposition modules.
• Drive defectivity reduction and uniformity improvements through systematic process enhancement.
• Collaborate with Technology Development and High-Volume Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless technology transitions.
• Optimize equipment performance in partnership with internal teams and key suppliers.
• Synthesize complex technical data to formulate and execute strategic manufacturing responses.
• Present technical findings to diverse audiences, including engineering teams and executive leadership.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a STEM field.
• 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience with a focus on thin film deposition.
• Proven experience in process development, technical leadership, and manufacturing engineering.
• Experience working with equipment suppliers such as AMAT, LAM, ASM, or TEL.
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and factory automation systems.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or science field with research publications and patents.
• Experience in Gate All Around (GAA) logic technologies.
• Semiconductor foundry experience.
• Cross-functional leadership experience managing diverse stakeholder groups.
