What you will do

• Partner with General Partners and investment teams to define and execute communications plans that drive brand platforms.
• Act as a trusted advisor and coach for portfolio companies on brand marketing, media strategy, and internal communications.
• Manage and advise portfolio companies through complex, high-stakes crisis communications situations.
• Maintain and leverage relationships with media, content creators, and industry influencers to surface key narratives.
• Secure high-quality brand-building opportunities for partners to speak, write, and lead industry conversations.
• Collaborate with the New Media team on broader brand strategy, workshops, and networking events.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate, executive, product, or crisis communications.
• Strong familiarity with the biotech and healthcare industries.
• Proven experience in both in-house and agency environments.
• Established national media relationships within the biotech and healthcare sectors.
• Ability to define comprehensive media strategies and drive them through execution.
• Must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
