What you will do

• Execute post-award financial management activities for grants, contracts, and clinical trials, including award set-up and project close-out.
• Ensure strict compliance with allowable costs, effort reporting, and federal/state regulations including Uniform Guidance.
• Manage invoicing, accounts receivable, and troubleshoot payment variances to ensure positive cash flow.
• Prepare journal entries for month-end close and generate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop complex financial reports and perform root cause analysis to support institutional business decisions.
• Coordinate with auditors to provide necessary documentation and implement internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Must be based in Pennsylvania.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budget planning, and financial analysis.
• Deep understanding of financial management and research accounting specifically within a clinical trial setting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas) and financial software.
• Proven ability to interpret and implement complex regulatory and compliance standards.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in grant, contract, and clinical trial financial administration.
• Knowledge of federal agency regulations and federal acquisition regulations.
• Expertise in clinical research billing compliance.
