What you will do

• Lead the transition of accounting functions from outsourced partners to an in-house model.
• Develop and maintain GAAP-compliant financial statements and internal control policies.
• Coordinate the annual external audit process and ensure financial reporting compliance.
• Manage monthly close activities, payroll, and expense reimbursements.
• Produce financial trend analyses and reports for the Board of Directors and senior leadership.
• Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, vendor contract reviews, and strategic financial decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Active CPA certification required.
• 4–7 years of progressive experience in public or private accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and reporting standards.
• Experience leading audits and building accounting systems from the ground up.
• Must be able to work from the New York office 4 days per week.
