Business Systems Analyst (Insurance)

What you will do

• Conduct requirements gathering sessions and document business and system requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria utilizing SAFe Agile and BDD/Gherkin methodologies.
• Document workflows, process flows, data mappings, system interactions, and functional design documentation.
• Participate in SAFe Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and PI planning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and architects to clarify requirements and validate solutions.
• Support testing activities, defect management, and application administration including user provisioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in business systems analysis or related IT roles.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment with primary office locations in Jacksonville, FL or Birmingham, AL.
• Working knowledge of business analysis practices and SDLC methodologies (SAFe Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or ServiceNow.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries.
