What you will do

• Develop and review project plans, proposals, objectives, phases, and sequencing/timelines.
• Prepare and manage project budgets (labor, materials, and associated costs) and monitor progress vs. schedule and budget.
• Coordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, engineers, and support organizations.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage project risks (including technical risks) and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and review project-specific documentation and deliverables aligned with DOE directives and Idaho Cleanup Project (ICP) standards.
• Lead troubleshooting and communicate project status to DOE/ICP management and stakeholders through reports and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in scientific or engineering principles related to technology development, DOE facility design and construction, and/or facility closure.
• US citizenship is required due to government contract requirements and/or clearances.
• Experience working at a DOE facility and familiarity with DOE orders and requirements (preferred).
• Knowledge of DOE O 413.3B, DOE-STD-1189-2016, DOE-STD-1073, and DOE-STD-1104-2016 (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to interface with DOE, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders (e.g., Idaho DEQ, U.S. EPA, Tribal Nations, public) and strong technical writing skills.
