Network Engineer (IP Networking)

What you will do

• Deploy, integrate, and run customer acceptance testing for IP service routers and switches in government network environments.
• Integrate IP service routers into existing production networks and standalone clusters.
• Provide on-site support for new VPN and mobile node integrations.
• Perform hardware UAT and FAT for network refreshes and new site rollouts.
• Prepare and execute MOP scripts and configuration scripts, validating them in lab environments before deployment.
• Conduct on-site network assessments, consolidate test results, and produce structured documentation while driving site acceptance tests end-to-end.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of Network Engineering experience with hands-on IP routing and switching.
• Proven experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise-grade IP routers and switches.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP/VRRP, LACP/PAgP, STP, and IPsec.
• Proficiency in Linux command line, including scripting and using regular expressions for automation, troubleshooting, and output analysis.
• Ability to work independently in client-facing environments with strong ownership, problem-solving, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
