What you will do

• Accurately accession specimens according to established protocols and guidelines.
• Perform intra-lab specimen transportation functions to support internal logistics.
• Scan, verify, and organize paperwork associated with specimen accessioning.
• Execute routine and specialized tasks to facilitate seamless departmental workflows.
• Maintain strict cleanliness and safety standards within the laboratory environment.
• Participate in the orientation and training of departmental staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Must be based in or be able to commute to Houston, TX.
• Preferred minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience.
• Ability to handle bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious material.

Nice to have

• Expertise in LIMS, HIPAA, and CLIA/CAP compliance.
• Experience with high-volume accessioning and specimen triage.
• Proficiency in chain of custody and sample tracking.
• Knowledge of SOP development and CAPA systems.
