Copywriter (Freelance)

TL;DR

Copywriter (Freelance): Developing creative concepts and copy for digital, social, and traditional marketing campaigns with an accent on B2C CPG brand storytelling. Focus on collaborating with art directors and strategists to translate business objectives into award-winning, boundary-pushing creative work.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from the New York office (Hybrid: 4 days/week in-office)

Salary: $65–$75 USD per hour

What you will do

• Own assigned projects and manage all aspects of copy, creative work, and budget.
• Conceptualize, plan, and produce diverse creative ideas for digital, social, and traditional channels.
• Present creative rationale during internal and client presentations.
• Collaborate with Creative Directors to ensure quality and accuracy across all creative products.
• Drive creative solutions for new business pitches and proactive client recommendations.
• Work closely with Account Directors to align creative output with business scopes and schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of professional copywriting experience in a creative agency environment.
• Proven experience within the B2C CPG sector.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic, conceptual, and creative thinking.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard creative software.
• Ability to evaluate both art and copy to develop fully integrated marketing campaigns.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
