What you will do

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on battery cell manufacturing equipment, including robotics and PLC-based systems.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment failures to ensure safe and efficient production operations.
• Execute preventative and corrective maintenance schedules and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support the commissioning, integration, and debugging of new systems and equipment upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive process improvements and reliability initiatives.
• Train operators on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.

Requirements

• Technical degree, completed four-year apprenticeship, or equivalent journeyman license/experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Must be able to work onsite in Warren, Michigan.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, robotics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Ability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays as required.

Nice to have

• Experience in lithium-ion cell manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with Siemens PLCs and Fanuc robot programming.
• Experience in pilot or startup manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with EV/high-voltage safety standards.
