Salary: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

What you will do

• Architect and iterate on agent-based systems for complex workflows in drug discovery and life sciences R&D.
• Build functional prototypes using Salt's orchestration platform to translate research problems into working demonstrations.
• Reproduce and evaluate AI research papers to assess their applicability to company infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the CBO and solutions engineers to translate business problems into AI-driven approaches.
• Research domain-specific requirements across life sciences, financial services, and energy.
• Develop reusable templates and technical documentation to enable partner scaling.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in CS, AI, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• Experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, or workflow orchestration tools like LangChain or AutoGen.
• Proven AI/ML project experience beyond academic study.
• Ability to analyze and reproduce scientific research papers.
• Coursework or project experience in life sciences, bioinformatics, or computational biology.
• Must be based in or able to work within U.S.-based time zones.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in drug discovery or AI research.
• Interest in pharmaceutical or biotech therapeutic discovery pipelines.
• Familiarity with scientific computing environments, data lineage, or provenance tracking.
• Scrappy mentality and ability to drive clarity in ambiguous situations.
