TL;DR

Principal, Applied AI Enablement (AI): Building and prototyping AI-powered tools and agents to automate substantive legal work including research, analysis, and contract review with an accent on RAG and agentic workflows. What you will do

  • Identify high-leverage AI opportunities within legal teams, focusing on product counseling, marketing reviews, and regulatory compliance.
  • Design and build AI agents, retrieval systems (RAG), and evaluators to handle legal work end-to-end.
  • Onboard legal teams to new AI tools and develop attorney-facing training and documentation.
  • Establish evaluation harnesses and quality metrics, such as hallucination rates and accuracy against human baselines.
  • Partner with leadership to define the strategic roadmap for an AI-native legal function.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work in West Hollywood, California (Hybrid)
  • 4+ years of experience building, deploying, or applying AI products and tools.
  • Hands-on expertise in prompting, agentic workflows, RAG, and the basics of fine-tuning.
  • Strong technical fluency with APIs, data models, and system integrations.
  • Proven track record of shipping prototypes to real users and iterating based on feedback.

Nice to have

  • Experience building AI products in regulated or high-stakes domains (legal, healthcare, financial services).
  • Prior experience in "legal engineer," "legal technologist," or "applied AI engineer" roles.
