What you will do

• Design, implement, and scale backend systems processing large volumes of data.
• Develop event-driven and API-based integrations.
• Migrate legacy monolithic architecture toward a domain-based, scalable structure.
• Optimize software for performance-sensitive, high-throughput, and low-latency workflows.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to propose and implement technical solutions.
• Participate in a collaborative development model to share work and knowledge.

Requirements

• 10+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, including algorithms, data structures, and Big O notation.
• Experience with heavy data processing tools: Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake, Parquet, and Avro.
• Proficiency in Python and/or PySpark.
• Experience with Docker, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Must be based in Czechia.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud providers.
• Knowledge of Pandas.
• Experience with Spring framework and microservices.
• Background in large-scale data or analytics environments.
