Senior Web Engineer (Web3)

Location: New York; Remote. Location type: On-site.

Salary: $230,000–$330,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and ship complex web features across core product surfaces, from scoping and implementation through launch, monitoring, and production support.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs, data flows, failure modes, and reliable user experiences; partner with QA, TPM, product, and design.
• Monitor dashboards, alerts, and user reports, respond to incidents, isolate root causes, ship mitigations, and implement prevention work.
• Build and improve frontend logs, metrics, alerts, dashboards, and error reporting.
• Identify technical debt, propose pragmatic refactors, contribute to frontend system design, and raise engineering quality through reviews and clear communication.
• Connect technical work to performance, reliability, product quality, and conversion outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend web engineering experience with experience in crypto, Web3, or adjacent financial infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend development.
• Strong frontend system design skills across state management, data fetching, caching, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Experience owning complex features from scoping through launch.
• Strong debugging skills and experience responding to production issues.
• Ability to work with backend engineers on APIs, data contracts, failure modes, and system behavior.
• High agency, product-mindedness, independent execution in fast-moving ambiguous environments, and clear communication during planning, launches, bugs, and incidents.

• Frontend performance specialization.
• Experience with high-traffic, real-time, marketplace, trading, or financial products.
• Experience building for WebViews or shared web/mobile surfaces.
• Experience improving frontend observability, alerting, or reliability practices.
• Strong practical use of AI tools to improve engineering productivity.
