What you will do

• Design and implement pipelines to automate market creation, parameter configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Build reliable resolution systems integrating with external oracles, news feeds, and sports APIs.
• Develop robust event processing systems using messaging and streaming platforms like Kafka or Pulsar.
• Reinforce correctness, availability, and scalability across the markets layer.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and data teams to ensure seamless platform integration.
• Participate in architectural decisions and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Go (preferred), or Rust/Java.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, data pipelines, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience building automation systems or integrations with third-party data sources.
• Comfortable debugging complex systems on Linux and taking end-to-end ownership.
• Must be able to work on-site in New York.

Nice to have

• Experience with prediction markets, financial data, or real-world event detection.
• Production experience with Kafka, Pulsar, or similar streaming platforms at scale.
• Experience deploying systems in cloud environments (AWS/GCP) and using containers.
