What you will do
- Partner with PMs, designers, and engineering leads to scope analytical questions and deliver actionable findings.
- Own the end-to-end Mixpanel instance, including instrumentation strategy, event taxonomy, and reporting.
- Analyze customer behavior, activation patterns, and retention drivers to inform product narratives.
- Build and maintain the product analytics layer using Hex, dashboards, and notebooks.
- Design and rigorously analyze A/B experiments, defining success metrics and guardrails.
- Collaborate with the Data Platform team to ensure product event data is modeled correctly in dbt.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a product analyst or product data scientist role at a SaaS company.
- Strong SQL proficiency for complex queries against event tables and dimensional models.
- Hands-on experience with Mixpanel instrumentation and event taxonomy.
- Proven experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for storytelling with data.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada (no visa sponsorship).
Nice to have
- Experience with Hex, BigQuery, or dbt.
- Background in B2B SaaS or product-led growth (PLG) analytics.
- Familiarity with feature flagging tools like LaunchDarkly.
- Proficiency in Python for ad-hoc analysis.
