What you will do

• Lead the qualification and introduction of new optical systems and components into high-volume manufacturing.
• Perform technical assessments and manufacturability evaluations for electronic and mechanical assemblies.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and milestone readiness assessments.
• Manage first-piece evaluation builds and prototype validation processes.
• Collaborate with design engineering, supply chain, and contract manufacturing partners to ensure production readiness.
• Investigate manufacturing quality issues and implement corrective actions to enhance yield and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Optical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) for electromechanical subsystems.
• Hands-on experience with fiber-optic assembly processes, including splicing and component integration.
• Expertise in electronics and mechanical design manufacturability (DFM).
• Experience working directly with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• English proficiency required for effective communication with global partners.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes like PCB assembly and soldering.
• Familiarity with prototype bring-up and system testing.
• Experience with engineering and lifecycle management tools such as Agile.
