What you will do

  • Oversee the safe and efficient operation of boilers, turbines, and steam plants during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental limits, and permits.
  • Coordinate emergency responses to accidents or injuries and direct required operations.
  • Manage, train, and motivate a cross-trained workforce to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Approve equipment removal for maintenance, ensuring proper tagging and safety permit issuance.
  • Troubleshoot plant operational issues and coordinate maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in Tampa, FL.
  • 5+ years of experience in power or resource recovery plant operations.
  • HS Diploma or GED required; Engineering degree is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electrical generation.
  • Must obtain and maintain an ASME QRO Provisional & Site-Specific Operators license.
  • Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
