What you will do

• Manage daily operations at the project office in Los Angeles, engaging with contractors and PMSS staff.
• Coordinate design meetings and track progress against key milestones.
• Review design documents for technical quality, completeness, and alignment with project objectives.
• Ensure integration and consistency across tunnels, aerial structures, stations, and support facilities.
• Identify technical risks and design gaps early and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical summaries and recommendations to internal leads and decision-makers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 12 years of overall professional engineering experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in design engineering for transportation or infrastructure projects.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Master’s degree.
• Experience with Rail (light, heavy, or commuter), Tunnels, and aerial structures.
• Familiarity with early-phase planning, conceptual design, and corridor-level alternatives development.
• Expertise in scenario planning and creative problem solving.
