TL;DR
Backend Engineer (Java, Scala, Spark): Building scalable backend systems, APIs, and developer-facing tools with an accent on distributed systems, large-scale data processing, and performance, reliability, and scalability. Focus on designing and implementing data processing pipelines with Apache Spark, participating in architecture discussions, and delivering high-quality code through CI/CD and code reviews.
Location: Southern Sweden (first 3–4 months: 3 days/week on-site), then relocation to Sweden with requirement to work 3–5 days/week from the office
Salary: up to 1120 PLN/MD (Mid, B2B) or up to 1500 PLN/MD (Senior, B2B)

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and services
- Build and optimize data processing pipelines using Apache Spark
- Develop and maintain APIs and backend components for a developer platform
- Translate business and technical requirements into robust, high-quality code
- Collaborate with engineering, data, and product teams; participate in architecture discussions
- Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability; contribute to code reviews, testing, and CI/CD
Requirements
- Experience building backend systems and services (Java/Scala)
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and large-scale data processing
- Strong API design and backend architecture skills
- Ability to work on-site in Southern Sweden for the first 3–4 months (3 days/week)
- Relocation to Sweden required, with ongoing office work 3–5 days/week
