What you will do
- Maintain and enhance platform technologies including VMware, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Manage environments using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve observability and proactive monitoring using tools like Dynatrace.
- Lead post-mortems to identify and implement long-term technical fixes.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, networking, and application stacks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Must be based in the UK and able to work in a hybrid model.
- At least 5 years of experience with DevOps principles, IaC, and CI/CD.
- 5+ years of experience with container platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Hands-on experience with VMware technologies in production.
- Proficiency in Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Strong focus on continuous improvement and automation.
Nice to have
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
- Leadership or mentoring experience in technical teams.
- Certifications in VMware or major cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Background in system administration or software engineering.
