DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote in the United Kingdom; night shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, release tooling, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
• Operate and maintain production and non-production DevOps systems, build tools, artifact repositories, and source control platforms.
• Monitor infrastructure and application health across compute, databases, batch jobs, file systems, and networks.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure failures, production downtime, performance degradation, security incidents, and client data-feed issues.
• Manage service request tickets against defined SLAs and provide on-call support during off-hours and weekend windows.
• Maintain runbooks, incident records, change logs, operational metrics, and stakeholder status reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in application or production support, cloud operations, or software DevOps engineering in a high-availability SLA environment.
• Strong Linux and Unix skills, working knowledge of Windows Server, and scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Perl.
• Experience with GitHub or Bitbucket, Tomcat, SSH-based remote management, application debugging, performance analysis, and scalability assessment.
• Database experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL, including querying, performance tuning, backup and restore, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with AWS core compute, storage, networking, and monitoring services, plus knowledge of application security, fault detection, root cause analysis, and structured incident resolution.

• Experience with Jenkins, CircleCI, Bamboo, TFS Build, or other CI/CD and release pipeline tools.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, AWS CloudFormation, or artifact repositories such as Artifactory.
• hirify.global CXone product, implementation, or support experience.
• Knowledge of ETL and data pipeline management or experience in call centre and telecoms industries.
