What you will do

• Provide academic guidance and 1-to-1 tutoring for students in online courses via web conferencing and virtual whiteboards.
• Grade assignments and enter grades into online grade books within 1-3 school days, providing targeted feedback.
• Implement academic intervention and escalation procedures to ensure attendance, pacing, and content mastery.
• Develop and implement educational strategies for at-risk students both individually and in small groups.
• Communicate and collaborate with parents, school administrators, and partnering clients.
• Maintain active educator licenses and required credentials.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• At least 2 years of work experience in a classroom setting.
• Valid teaching license in at least one US state.
• Highly qualified teacher status meeting NCLB requirements.
• Ability to provide a current Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Nice to have

• Experience facilitating online courses.
• Experience with SPED/ELL or school counseling.
• Proficiency with Genius SIS, Edgenuity, or Odysseyware products.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite.
